Food is good and this is what Louisburg needed besides the Fast food. Though I probably want return to much when I can go to Youngsville for same items and portion for about 8.00. Maybe they will decrease prices.
Overall, the food is good, but not great. Their soups tend to lack flavor and are often mostly a simple broth. Considering the portion sizes, the prices are a little "stiff", with $11 - $12 being charged for the same hibachi food available elsewhere for $7 - $8 ( in Wake Forest at Hibachi Japan, as one example ). Face it folks, this is Asian fast food, at best, and not a sit-down restaurant. Either the food quality and portioning needs to be increased, at the same price point, or the prices need to be lowered by 33%. When the new Mayflower restaurant opens, in Louisburg, it will, hopefully, serve as a "wake up call" for Fuji Express. Louisburg is a small town ( Pop. 3,700 +/- ) and, once the "newness" wears off, this restaurant will begin feeling the pressure, as business declines, unless things change.
The food is good but the hibachi items are a little too pricey for me. I think the hibachi is a little overpriced for the amount of food they give you. I been to other hibachi restaurants and that's what I'm comparing it too. The people are nice though. My husband and I got some hibachi and it was over $25. ????????
I’ve been twice now and have been very satisfied with the quality of food, portion sizes and speed of service. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel like they need to decrease their hibachi prices. Hibachi Japan in Wake Forest has around four $6.99 hibachi specials that go all day. I think Fuji Express needs to do the same thing. It just seems like a tad much to be paying 10 or 11 dollars for the hibachi items. Other than that I’m glad it’s finally open and hope it does well!
Visited during their grand opening today. Despite being extremely busy the food turned out great and we were served in a reasonable amount of time. Will definitely order from them again!
