Jackson's Cafeteria

I like taking my seven year old there. We home school, so going there makes him feel like he is in school. He moves his tray along and he chooses what he wants, and then takes his on tray to the table.

Delicious food, great selection, great service, reasonably priced! I highly recommend it!

One of my favorite places. I got a vegetable plate with mac, yams, and okra. Boy was the okra crispy, my favorite!!! Not a big fan of the rolls but I love the environment.

I have no idea what it is about the Cafeteria style food that I love but this place is amazing. The chicken with white gravy is basically all I order. My co-workers and I have been going to this place since mid 2018 and when we sit down we are visited multiple times by Bruce who is probably the most helpful, nicest and busy person in the seating area. Thanks Bruce for the amazing service!

I think it is fair to say that Jackson's roast beef and gravy is probably an icon here in Gastonia County when it comes to food. It literally melts in your mouth. How they get the roast so tender is beyond me. I am also a big fan of their fried chicken and gravy. If you like SALT and spices, it is fantastic. Everything that I have ever had here is great. If I have one complaint, it's the fact that if we eat there late, I will develop acid reflux. But it's not their fault that I cannot refuse their Mexican cornbread! Great friendly, efficient service. If you love southern cooking, give it a try.
