    This is 100% the best restaurant in Gastonia. I will be back even though I live in South Carolina. The yams are a must have. They wouldn’t tell me their secret recipe!! I don’t even like yams, but these were addictive!! We tried a lot of the food(smothered pork chops, cauliflower, salmon, and fried chicken) and everything was DELICIOUS!!! If I could trade out my aunties for whoever is cooking back there, I would!

    The food here is fantastic, hands down. The cajun seasoning is like magic or something. The plantains are perfect and I would definitely recommend trying them. I had the shrimp plate (it was three different types, cajun, booed up, and something else) and it was amazing. Definitely one of the best soul food places I've ever been. The atmosphere is really fun, and the staff is super sweet and friendly. Even when they're struggling they still do their best to get what you need.

    Awesome eats. Food was really good and fresh. Reminds me of my grandma southern cooking. Thanks for yall hospitality. Family owned is really what it feels like here. Love the unique names on the menu as well. I will be back

    This place is AMAZING! It is a family owned and ran restaurant. We drove up from Charlotte to meet family and they recommended this place and boy, what a great choice! If you love Collard Greens, Mac & Cheese, Yams, you MUST order them. I had the deep fried ribs and my husband had the honey fried chicken. I truly don't think there is a bad item on their menu. This restaurant is a MUST GO but they do close at 7pm so don't come late!

    The dad cooks, the mom runs the business part, and the children serve!
