This was my first time here. It's a counter service burger joint. I got the Palladium burger. It was cooked perfectly medium as I had requested. The burger was juicy and the toppings were spot on, served on a tasty bun. The fries were great and fresh too. I'll certainly be coming back.
The Fish and Chips are perfectly fried and you get a surprising amount for the price. A nice, comforting atmosphere next to the movie theater with a pretty expansive menu that caters to lovers of burgers, sandwiches, and everything between. The seating was a bit uncomfortable, but this is easily overlooked when compared to the quality of the food. Will definitely be going back.
Visited on a Sunday lunch at 1:00. Ordered the smokehouse burger (made to order- medium) with tots and tea. Burger flavor good but bun didn't enhance or compliment the burger. Tots were excellent and tea a little too sweet. Lot of food and price indicates such. Wouldn't highly recommend but worth at least one visit. Will try again with different burger to possibly raise rating.
The southwest burger was yummy. Fries and tots were good. The mac n cheese was delicious. The chicken was not good at all. It looked like it had been reheated or sitting out or probably both and was very chewy and gross. It was fast food style service, but restaurant prices.
If you eat at The Porterhouse Burger Co., know two things:
1. The food is outstanding. Positively delicious. The burger is big, fresh, cooked to order, and there are plenty of excellent topping options (some of which are a twist on traditional offerings). The fries are also excellent—cooked perfectly and taste like fresh cut. The only thing I didn’t like was the chili— it is way too sweet for my taste. But I know some people like sweet chili, so I won’t reduce the rating. So I’m just making you aware.
2. You’re going to pay a premium price for your food. My Twisted Carolina burger (with upgraded side) and a drink cost me about $15.
But is was kinda worth it...
