I visited over the summer and had an okay experience. The staff was extremely nice, it was almost like stopping by a family member’s house to get a plate lol. My fried chicken was some of the best chicken, the Mac and cheese...needs improvement, but the sweet tea gave me life! I always have high hopes of tasting good green beans and am often disappointed. Not this time, they were perfect! My friend had the smothered chop and rice, she loved it! They had a menu that they took from table to table which initially took me by surprise but it wasn’t really an issue for me. I’ll be back soon.

Ok soul food with limited menu options. Country style steak with gravy & potatoes was good. The canned corn was not so good, unless you like canned corn. Mac - n-cheese was decent. Cornbread was hard & dry & did not taste homemade. Might try them one more time.

This is the best example of both homestyle cooking and great customer service. It is the BEST fried chicken in the triad. No one else is close to this. Everyone there is respectful as well as concerned you have the best meal possible. They asked how we liked it, and my response was, "If you never see me back in here, it's only because I'm dead." I will be back, multiple times.
