Alright the atmosphere was amazing. It’s a new place but it gonna be a hot spot soon. Amazing food and amazing service. Had the Texas fajitas and the molcajete and man was it good. Had a strawberry mojito and it was delicious perfect blend of everything. And everything was priced reasonably well. Thank you to everyone there. Muchas gracias por todo.

My family went to this building many times when it was Rearn Thai, and we figured we should honor the spirit of the place by trying the new Mexican restaurant that has opened there.

El Alibrije has some great design choices, with the seating area furnished in dark leather chairs and lighter tables. But the upper part of the room is decorated in large, brightly colored paintings of creatures from Mexican folklore--the Alebrije of the restaurant's name. It's a beautiful contrast with the dark furniture.

We came for lunch, and the food was quite good. They were able to accommodate my wife's needs, as she has been dealing with parosmia since COVID, and she was really happy with her breakfast burrito. I tried the Quesadilla al Pastor, and I was likewise delighted with it. The pastor sauce was robust and thick. It's probably the best pastor pork I've had. The rice and salad were fresh and tasty as well. If I had a complaint, it's that the pastor quesadilla could have used a couple more pineapple chunks. (The contrast of rich pastor sauce and the acidity of the pineapple was very satisfying, and I would have liked to have experienced it a couple more times.)

The prices are very reasonable for lunch--about $20 for the two of us. And the portion sizes were substantial for what the menu lists as 1/2 lunch plates.

    We will be back!

Was driving by and came across this new restaurant. They serve very generous portions and the food is delicious. They also make the aguas frescas. The whole staff was so attentive and friendly!! Will be back and will be recommending this gem :)

New Mexican Restaurant in West Greensboro. I came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Not that busy since it’s fairly new. I ordered the Arroz con Camarones (Rice with Shrimp), portion size for me it was a good size. I didn’t even finish it all. The agua fresca I had was melon or cantaloupe and it tasted homemade. The salsa for the chips and salsa is also homemade and so is the hot sauce. The place itself is gorgeous, I love their murals, it gave me Coco (the movie vibes). They also have live music on certain nights, so be sure to follow their Facebook and IG page. The staff was really attentive and friendly. They do serve beer and other alcoholic drinks, but they do not have beer on draft yet, but are working on it. They have a lunch menu which includes brunch, kids and vegetarian options. Their Dinner menu has more choices, but it also includes some of their lunch menu options. Overall, I will be back to try their brunch and dinner menu. If you’ve lived in Greensboro for quite a while, the restaurant is located right where Rearn Thai Restaurant used to be. Please like my review if it helps you!!!

So this a fairly New Mexican restaurant ! It’s not to busy during dinner hour on a Saturday hopefully it will soon once more People find out . Parking was definitely not a problem . Very clean eating area and bathroom , they do have a patio as well for outdoor dining . The inside dinning is very beautiful from the black booths to the tables , very nice atmosphere . The decoration is beautiful the art pops off the wall with its bright colors . Our waiter was very attentive and the food was delicious . Unfortunately they do not have no draft here , but they do have several options for bottle beer . We ordered the Texan quesadilla, and pollo de Veracruz both dishes was delicious . We had an amazing time definitely will come back . They also have Mariachi night coming up , not sure how often they may do this but sounds pretty interesting . If you are not sure what Mariachi is , a Mexican band that has there instruments walking around singing from one table to another or for the whole room . And there dressed nice . But over all we had a great date night .
