2nd time at this restaurant. Downtown Greensboro location. First time I ate breakfast, this time lunch. Both times have been very good. The service is excellent and the place is clean. Great food. Friendly staff. All the ingredients you need in a good restaurant. I'll definitely be back.
Great food! My turkey club sandwich and fries were excellent. I'm glad there's a diner in South End now. I used to go to Smith Street all the time, but it was a hike, and they shut down. Now that Jake's is here, and I plan to be a regular.
We came here on Father’s Day on a whim when other local businesses were full. Walking in the door, we were impressed with the renovation that kept the historic character.
The food served was quick, hot and excellent! I highly recommend an omelet. The biscuits are also exceptionally fluffy!
As an added bonus since it was Father’s Day, the staff passed out shirts to dads! We will be back soon!
I have fallen in love with this diner just from one visit! It reminded me of a diner I went to all the time growing up. Such a great spot for comfort food downtown GSO! Shoutout to Haley(may be misspelling her name 🫣) for the great service. Very kind and attentive. The atmosphere is amazing from the interior setup, music, energetic staff and delicious food. Check out the Jake Diners apparel on your way out. Stylish choices 🤩 A minutes walk away from bars, shops and activities. I will be a regular here ❤️
So grateful to finally have a diner on Elm St, somewhere to have a big, hearty, hot breakfast. It had only been open a couple of weeks when we arrived, so it hadn't yet developed its vibe. Food was good solid diner fare, the staff pleasant and attentive. Hopefully people who live and work downtown, and train and bus passengers arriving at the depot, get the word that Jake's is open.
