Some of the best BBQ in the area. While it's in an old Hardee's restaurant location, don't get confused! It's definitely a family restaurant with touches which suggest their deep faith. It's not some gourmet fine dining place but the food is solid. Think country food and you're on the right track. Think, Grandma could have made this meal and you're getting closer. Great vegetables and fantastic desserts are worth the trip. Add the BBQ to the equation and now you have a can't miss spot.

Great friendly service. Food was delicious. Even got to sample the homemade chicken salad before ordering some to take home.

Food is excellent! Food is by far 5 stars, but service is not so great! Sometimes the waitresses have bad attitudes! If the service was improved, it would be a 5 star for me!

I eat here a lot because it's so convenient to go through the drive-thru. They have some really good things, such as their fried chicken wraps. Some of the country dinner plates are good, though they are somewhat inconsistent and their vegetables are largely overcooked. They have awesome ice tea and pretty good desserts. Their barbecue is good but not on par with kepley's.

There are several things I like at Carter Brothers, but I cannot count the chicken and dumplings among them. The chicken may be canned, and there is an overall chemically taste to them. That may be bullion. At any rate, these are just bad. No redeeming qualities - bad chicken, bad broth and bad dumplings.
