Herbie's Place

Has there been a death or does everyone that works there have the flu? For the last 2 Saturdays they have been closed & I am not sure it is staffing, Flue A , ride to home as promised or death of owner. Feedback would be great so I may plan my evening around food accessibility after work .
Service considering the amount of people that work there is great. A lot of To Go orders. Staff there for a long time. Positive there days!

Love this place when the family can't decide what you want, offers breakfast food all day plus entrees to suit those interested in more traditional meals for lunch or dinner. Wings are awesome.

Herbie's is a diner more akin to a Waffle House than a Denny's. It's no frills, but there's a community around it and the food is decent. We always order breakfast there. It's always pretty cold in there, so bring a jacket. The only seating is 4-person booths and countertop, so it would be a challenge for multiple small children needing highchairs or people with wheelchairs/scooters.

Update: Thank you for responding! My family has been coming to Herbie's for years, but our most recent visit was disappointing service-wise. I saw our server pluck a piece of food bare-handed off the grill and pop it in her mouth. Then the same server went out front, smoked a cigarette, and went right back to serving food without washing her hands. When she brought our food to the table, her fingers were so far into the plates that they were touching our food. It was gross.

That said, this last visit was an exception to all our other visits. I've gotten to know some of the servers and staff, and they've always been wonderful.

Such a nice place and the food is always great. The staff is so friendly and I've never had one issue with my food and I've been eating here over 10 years. Luv...luv...luv this place.

I come here with my family every saturday when we can. The staff are the sweetest people in the world, they even memorize our orders sometimes! Service is quick, kitchen out in the open so you can see them cooking. Accommodating to allergies (i have a severe fish allergy, another family member having a severe pork allergy). Not a single reaction there (: always nice and clean too.
