Pho Hien Vuong

There are a good number of establishments that serve very good Vietnamese food , and this review is not intended to be slight or criticism of those fine eateries. Pho Hien Voung has perfected their craft and inch out the competition, though. Their noodle dishes in particular are just plain deliciously authentic and hardy. Authentic in the genuine sense. No over seasoning or Americanization of the clean flavor profiles you would expect. Hardy in the generous portion sizes. Even on the lunch menu where others cut, there is enough to fill me up.

Authentic food and people. I've been here for dinner and lunch and like the evening vibe better. I thought the food was fresher too. Its a great experience. Many of the guest are of Asian descent which says a lot to me whichever ethnic restaurant you dine in. The pad Thai is awesome. The veg soup is so fresh and delicious. A must visit. My family first went to this restaurant about 10 years ago. We have been regulars since then. The pho is consistently delicious and the staff is excellent. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. It gets busy on Saturdays around dinner time.

We enjoyed really good service and delicious fresh food at this restaurant. Server brought "chopstick holders" for our 6 year old when she saw that the chopsticks were a struggle for her. Space is big and clean and had friendly staff. We would definitely go back for the delicious food. I had two spring rolls and a glass of wine for $11! And that was plenty. Huge rolls with a perfect amount of shrimp. Good size glass of wine. We freaked out when we couldn’t find a parking place in the large lot but parked on the street behind and walked back.

While visiting my son in Greensboro, he suggested Pho for lunch so after checking local reviews, we decided on Pho Hien Voung. A good sign when we arrived was that the parking lot was packed. We had to wait a few minutes before we could park, but it was worth the wait. We were greeted promptly and seated immediately. We knew we wanted Pho, but wow, what a selection to choose from. Tough decision - I chose the Beef Stew with Egg Noodles and my son ordered a combination soup - shrimp and pork. The bowl of soup was huge - and oh so good!!! The amount of beef and veggies in the soup was very generous and the broth was rich in flavor. My son's selection was equally as pleasing to him. Generous amounts shrimp and pork. If you like Pho and live in or around Greensboro, this is the place to go. Great service, excellent food and good prices. Looking forward to going again!

My son and I tried this place for the first time yesterday and will certainly return. We're not very familiar with Asian food, so we settled on two lunch items, one with chicken and one with beef. Both plates arrived quickly, heaped with very good food, and I carried enough home to provide me with two more meals. The bill came to only $12.81--for four really good meals! I left a big tip for our extremely pleasant and professional server and walked out mighty pleased. I look forward to trying more dishes at this charmingly-decorated, well-run establishment.
