The Best Barbecue!!
I was born & raised in Greensboro, and I've been all around the US (Navy vet). To me, there is no barbecue better than Stamey's. I now live in Virginia Beach, and to me, there is no barbecue place here that comes even close to making barbecue (NC style) as good as them. If you're ever down in Greensboro NC, you GOTTA make a stop there and have a meal. You won't be disappointed.

This is a North Carolina staple. It has been in Greensboro since 1930 and serves Lexington style BBQ. You absolutely cannot beat the value for money. A great place for the whole family. I gave it a four because I am a vegetarian and although I love the sides, there is not much else for me to eat although the ice tea, hush puppies and cobbler will keep me coming back!

Barbecue here may come with a big of piece of fat that should be embarrassing to this establishment. Smaller buns, higher prices. Buns resemble the ones used in other restaurants as sliders. Business here is brisk and there is no reason for them to rip off the public with poor quality food and smaller portions at higher prices. Pork is one of the least expensive meats available. Lexington barbecues are better quality and you don't have to worry about spitting out a big bite loaded with fat. Come on Stameys do the right thing for your customers.

This place has the best BBQ anywhere. Cobbler... tea. EVERYTHING. The BEST BBQ in North Carolina.. or anywhere.. they smoke it in a smokehouse behind the restaurant. Hickory planks are scattered about on the outside by the smokehouse. This place is the real deal

Don't come here expecting fancy. It's a little nicer than the average NC BBQ place, but essentially it's a sit down, order your food, get it on paper plates, pay and leave.

BBQ is Eastern style (vinegar sauce) and done over wood. Fantastic. Some of the best in the state.

I'm not as big a fan of the BBQ chicken, but honestly it's a personal taste.

Staff is always friendly and the food gets out quick.
