Harvey John's Steakhouse

We visited on opening weekend. We had just under an hour wait, which was expected on opening weekend. They have a window to the bar for drink service while you wait. Propane heater on the porch kept us comfortable on the cool evening. Scott even brought samples of the steak out for all of us waiting. The atmosphere inside is amazing. The decor fits the space and has ample seating. The full menu is available when seated at the bar also. Having a salad bar option is a great feature that we have missed in this area. Our meals were well prepared and served with a smile. We did not have a dessert tonight as we were very full from our meal. Very high quality meat is served here. Excellent date night for my wife and I. We will become regulars here soon.

I had a delicious, grilled to perfection prime ribeye steak at Harvey John’s last night for the grand opening. The meticulous attention to detail in the food and atmosphere makes it exceptional! They even brown my seasoned butter on my steak at the table. The garlic mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy. Asparagus delicious and not over cooked. The creamed spinach is the best I ever had. The salad bar had a nice selection to make your own salad. The fresh made cut up bacon, homemade croutons were excellent. I have been to New York Steakhouses and have not gotten as delicious a steak as I did at Harvey Johns. Or as much included with the meal price as I did at Harvey Johns. Usually steakhouses sides are a la carte.

Food and atmosphere and staff is amazing! One of the best steak houses in the Raleigh area amazing!

Harvey John’s is a wonderful atmosphere and they have wonderful service! The food was delicious and melting in your mouth, the staff did a really great job at making you feel at home. The restaurant looks amazing, great artwork and nice wood touches. The ribeye was very buttery and tender and the garlic mash was also a personal favorite! I can’t wait to go back and enjoy more delicious food!
