Western Sizzlin Steakhouse

Great steak, really surprised how good it was and the buffet was great as well. Definitely worth coming here.

Upon leaving and requesting a 2-go box the waitress said its their policy to take your food to the back and box it up, I'm sorry but I don't want yet another set of possibly dirty hands touching my food. This policy needs to change, it left me irritated by the whole meal. The only thing I can guess is they are worried about people putting extra buffet food in with their meal purchase. Giving 3 stars to this issue but, the food was great.

Fantastic food for every taste bud. Even when crowded service is fast and no wait seating. Friendly,helpful staff,very clean.. 11.99 includes drink 6 buffet bars and huge,dessert bar.

We were in Dunn to pick up our 3 grandchildren for the weekend. We stopped here so everyone could get whatever they wanted. Our server, Sherry, was amazing! She was friendly, she kept our drinks full, kept clean plates coming and old plates removed. And with a table of 6, that’s no easy task.... especially on a busy Friday night. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, with whom we had a great conversation, where he shared some of his history.... he worked for Golden Corral from 1980-88 then bought Western Sizzling in 1989. Learning some of his story was a real treat for our family, especially because my husband and I met at the Western Sizzlin in Aberdeen, NC (now Super China Buffet) in 1987 at the ages of 16 & 18. We are happily married with 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren, 32 years later. And we were able to glean from those memories, all because we stopped in a Western Sizzlin in the small town of Dunn, NC, started a conversation with a friendly server about the Christian music we were encouraged by and she pointed us to the owner who happened to be visiting on a busy Friday night.... Very nice buffet. The steak I ordered was overcooked but still good. The staff was great. Hot food on the buffet, could have been hotter and refilled a little faster. The salad bar was fresh and yummy! Not too sure about the gospel music in the background, but it was fine.

The food wasn't bad but the service could have been better.

In reply to Mr.Miller, I appreciate your reply and have full intentions on returning again. We have been visiting your restaurant for most of my life and I can't recall of any time before that we have had any kind of issue, at least to the extent of what we experienced this trip. If you would like more information on why I didn't give a higher review rating please send me some way of contacting you and I will gladly explain what happened. I honestly decide not to elaborate on here due to the fact as I stated before, never before have we had any kind of issue at your establishment.
