We tried this place today for the first time & it was DELICIOUS! The pulled pork was moist & flavorful! The sides I chose were just as good too. My plate came with so much food! Everything was seasoned well and the Martin roll was perfect for my husband's sandwich. The staff & owner were all very friendly as well. We definitely recommend this place & will be back.
Meat is smoked daily. I had the brisket sandwich. It was so tender and flavorful I didn't even need to use the sauce. I also liked the jalapeno coleslaw and the jalapeno cheddar hush puppies. One more thing makes it stand out from other restaurants is that the owner and staff are very personable and really make you feel like a valued customer and even a friend. This was our first time but we will definitely come back soon!
Awesome BBQ restaurant located in Angier NC! Staff and I believe owner were extremely friendly and ensured that we had an awesome dining experience! Arrive early enough to ensure that they are not sold out of your preferred dining item. Also be sure to try the Chocolate Cookie Crack if available! BBQ is smoked and has excellent flavor. I would choose this restaurant over Texas Pit in terms of price and quality of food.
I've eaten here a few times. The staff is very friendly and the menu has enough variety for anyone to find something they like. The quality of their meat is great and everything is well smoked. If you are a fan of vinegar based sauces this is the place for you. Even the sweet sauce has a strong vinegar flavor. It would be nice to have a sauce option that was not so heavy on the vinegar but that is a personal preference. They do offer burnt ends which are not available at many barbecue restaurants.
I am giving it 5 stars because the pulled pork is "out of this world" good. I do think they could work on their sides a little. The slaw is really good, but they don't give you enough of it. The slaw/pork ratio is a little off for my preference. The potatoes in the potato salad are in bigger chunks than I like. My wife got the fries and they are "homemade:" but a little limp and not crispy at all. If the sides were better, I would be giving them a 10!
