Wonderful place, the food is delicious. Mind you this can be a popular place when there is live music. Go early... deserts were great, entrees were great, our waitress was very helpful and explained the entire menu. We will be back. Tip, go on a Thursday night, we were seated quickly and well attended to.
Really delicious food. Good service, friendly staff. Love the decor, will be back.
Wonderful atmosphere and food. Yes if you go on a Friday or Saturday night you are going to wait for seats or food but it's worth the wait. Desserts are amazing as well. Try the fried apples.
My wife and I regularly eat here and love it. The food is excellent. Everything served is freshly prepared by Dominic (a trained chef) and his staff. Deserts are fresh as well. All their food, including deserts, is authentic and prepared better than 99% of all the Bavarian dishes I have eaten in Germany. In short, this restaurant is a gem and certainly not what I expected. You may wait to be seated due to limited seating, but it's always been worth the wait for us. Just enjoy a German beer or a glass of wine while you wait
Let me start by saying that the 3 star rating is due to a very long wait for our food. I was one of a party of 8. We had booked a table for 6:15 and were seated at that time. The restaurant was very crowded with all tables occupied and quite a few people waiting. The wait staff consisted of two women waiting tables and another tending bar and that is a problem in an establishment this large. It took 1:25 to get our food-and this was not due to inattentiveness on the part of our server but the number of tables she was responsible for. Also I understand that in Germany as in most of Europe service is- and dining is- a leisurely experience because I travel overseas often -but this is plain and simple being understaffed. Also at many of the places I have been to overseas a small plate of appetizers or a basket of bread will be brought to the table to tide the patron over as they await their meal but here there was no acknowledgement of any delay nor was there an offer of any tidbits or bread. The food -when we finally received it-was tasty and it was reasonably priced but there is no justification for a wait that long. I realize it is a family business and that is what makes it appealing but they simply have to hire both kitchen and wait staff if they want to continue to do well. A number of people waiting on tables gave up and left. Whether all of the delay was due to the fact that it was a Saturday night was not clear but I doubt if I will return to find out. It's a shame because in a world of cookie cutter eateries it is exciting to hear of one that isn't part of a conglomerate.
