I noticed a sign last month for Dalaya Thai restaurant, and got very excited for my small town. I love Thai food and normally have to drive 30 mins to an hour to get it, well not anymore! My husband and I stopped in this evening and had a wonderful meal. This little place may not look like much from the outside, but inside you have a lovely, intimate ambiance with a friendly staff. They are quick and the food is delicious with a beautiful presentation that did not disappoint. It’s fresh and not greasy, which is a major plus that delivers in flavor! I’m definitely looking forward to trying more soon. I highly recommend! I’m sure I’ll be eating here a couple times a month.

It was very a different fare than what is found in the surrounding area. It feels very authentic. Thai food supposed to have a balance of many different flavors, and the chef definitely brought forth many different flavors. The pomelo salad was unusual (not a lettuce based salad) There were sweet and tangy notes, and it finished with a nice heat. The chef came out and helped my daughter with playing her to food. Excellent!!!!

The outside is a cute little red shack that belongs in a Nicholas Sparks book. The inside is warm and home-y. Not to mention, the food was absolutely fantastic. It was the most tender chicken I have ever eaten. My boyfriend and I are already talking about going again!

Truly excellent, every facet of this restaurant was of the highest quality, and at the same time comfortable and so inviting. The decor was unique without being pretentious, and the service was remarkable. I'm an experienced Thai cook myself. Having studied extensively I'm rarely taken aback, but I was humbled by the complexity, restraint, and precision of their spice blends. I've tried Thai restaurants in major cities all across the country, and DaLaya stands alone as the best Thai food I have ever eaten.

Looking at this building from the outside, I really didn't have high hopes. It just seemed like a teensy red shack set back from the road on an open lot. That, however, all changed as soon as I stepped inside. I saw a charming little dining area overlooking the creek with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The server and chef greeted me immediately, asking if I needed recommendations or an explanation of any menu items. I eventually settled on their signature dish--a rich, creamy curry soup with egg noodles and chicken and a little dish of condiments on the side. From the first bite I was hooked. It was the perfect balance of savory, spicy, sweet, and sour. It was honestly more delicious than I could have imagined--or expected. All I can say is that I will definitely be returning to try more delicious authentic Thai recipes. I am hooked!
