Eggs Up Grill

I usually don't visit new places for at least a month or so. I like to give them time to get their grills good and seasoned and "dirty" first. But we were in the area after leaving Walmart and we were hungry, so decided to give it a try. It's 12:00 on Saturday (day 5 of being open) and the place is full. We were told it would be 25-30 minutes for us to be seated, but it only took maybe 10 minutes. It took MUCH longer to get our food (an hour), however, but we were patient since we know they're still working out kinks in the kitchen and the customer service was great. Personally, I think they should pause the take-out/pick up option until the kitchen is running a lot more smoothly. Anyway, my husband got the red, white, and blue pancakes and they are the lightest/fluffiest pancakes I've ever tasted. The corn beef hash was very good! After much deliberation with myself because there's a lot of good looking stuff on the menu, I got the shrimp and grits omelet, which was pretty good EXCEPT the shrimp was not fresh; it tasted fishy. (I'm from Pamlico County and we know our seafood, so non-fresh seafood is a no for me)! Nonetheless, I'm glad you're here Eggs Up! We will be going back and I look forward to trying other things on the menu in the future. Sorry, I didn't get pictures. I was so hungry by the time our food arrived, I dug right in. :-)

P.S. My rating is based mostly on the fishy shrimp.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming; however, I found the food to be a little underwhelming. My home fries were cold and underseasoned and my omelette was a bit runny. Would love to give them another chance, though.

First time visiting an Eggs Up and we were pleased. Our waitress Terri, did a wonderful job in making us feel welcome as well as the Owner. The food was good overall and the atmosphere was nice. We would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back! Thanks Eggs Up

We ordered take out for brunch. Took a bit to get ahold of them but it was 11am on Saturday so to be expected. We ordered the brunch burger, Patty O’Sullivan omelet, Belgium waffle and carne asada breakfast burrito. Order was ready in 15 minutes. Everything was amazing that we had except the burrito because they forgot it. I tried to call and let them know but again it’s very busy. We’ll let it slide because we were super happy with how tasty and fresh everything else was. Would recommend and we will be back for sure. Finally a great brunch spot in Clayton!

My first experience was opening day TODAY! The loaded bowl was mind-blowing. The service was outstanding. The owner was incredibly welcoming and nice. I will definitely be coming there once a week (at least)!
