Salsa Azteca

This was our 3rd time at the restaurant and we had 4 friends join us. The experience was great with good service, great food and drinks. The portions were large and the food was the best Mexican cuisine we have had since moving to this area 5 years ago. We will be back here again whenever we are looking for a great Mexican dinner. We recommend giving this place a try.

We are very critical of our restaurants and let me tell you! This is the best Mexican food around! Such a wide variety, and huge proportions to boot! Instead of traditional chips and salsa, they offer beans, chips , and EIGHT different salsas to choose from. If I could give more stars I would, truly amazed by this place.

Wow! I have had a lot of Mexican food. See my other reviews. This is the best I have had in North Carolina. The food was outstanding! The server was excellent. Not to mention, live music from Miguel, so funny!

What a great find in Clayton! This is a fabulous little hole in the wall place, which are always the best kind. The salsa bar is wonderful, I liked the California and the Spicy Lime salsas the most. The pumpkin salsa was also good, didn't taste too pumpkiny but has a nice spicy tingle.

We ordered the carnitas, which was amazing and made in the authentic way and also the shrimp in garlic sauce, which was incredible. Very clean flavors, jumbo juicy shrimp mixed with sauteed veggies that were cook perfectly. Both dishes were delicious!

Our waiter, Ishmael, was a delight. A very friendly, smart and charming young man who answered our questions and accommodated our needs promptly and efficiently.

We will definitely be regulars here!
