We were coming through town from the beach and just happened to see this place when we stopped for gas. They were about to open and there was a line at the door - always a good sign! We decided to get some lunch and were not disappointed. The pork was simple - not overly smoked nor spiced, but just delicious. My wife said the collards may have been the best she's had. The baked beans and BBQ potatoes weren't my favorite, however.
I am so glad we found this place and will definitely stop again.

I was in the area looking at houses and this place was recommended to go to for lunch. It’s small and connected to a gas station so normally I would not be interested.
However the food was great. I was really disappointed that they were out of ribs. The gentleman that took my order said it was a really busy day and that they were cooking. Based on the reviews the ribs and brisket seemed to be the most popular.
I ended up ordering 1/4 lb of the brisket with green beans and it came with cornbread. The brisket was great and I could have done with out the green beans and cornbread.
If I’m ever in this area again and I wanted bbq I would come back. And just hope they have ribs ????????

Tried for the first time today and I was pleasantly surprised. Traditional southern BBQ fare. I had the pulled pork with collards and Brunswick stew, the misses had the chopped chicken with potato salad and green beans both meals came with a nice slab of cornbread. Everything was fresh and extremely flavorful. The price was reasonable, the dining area was small but well kept and all of the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a very good meal and a very good experience. We will be back.

Award winning BBQ, and for good reason. Burnt ends on certain days, and they usually sell out, brisket is tender and flavorful, and the smoked turkey is exemplary. Even something basic like a pulled pork sandwich with slaw was outstanding. Whenever in the area I stop to dine and take home a pound of brisket or turkey. Also have to call out the smoked chicken salad - eat careful as there were a couple of small bones, but one of the best chicken salads I've had. Yes, this is a restaurant in a gas station complex. Do not let that deter you. Absolutely excellent BBQ.

We drove 100 miles, round trip, on a Tuesday in order to try their brisket "burnt ends." SO worth the trip!!! I envisioned them to be dry and tough, but they were moist and tender and delicious!! These delicacies are only available on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The sides we ordered were the collards, baked beans, green beans and potato salad. My favorite sides were the collards and baked beans. Go there! A unique setting!! It's part of a gas station!!
