    My opinion, the best BBQ anywhere. Chopped so it's easy to eat. Hickory cooked adds a remarkable flavor. I don't add sauce to this because the flavor is so good. There is only one location. Ambiance is old school diner, go anyway.

    I hadn't eaten here in over 2 years because the fried chicken was getting drier and drier. I finally went back tonight and LOVED IT!! The chicken was fried perfectly and juicy. I also got the pork bbq and that was still as great as ever.

    Some of the best barbecue that money can buy. Believe me when I tell you that because I have had barbecue from Texas to Maryland. Service is excellent and speedy. This barbecue revivals the barbecue restaurant in Lexington. Stop in and give them a try. If you don’t like their barbecue, then you are not from North Carolina.

    The best barbecue you can eat, period. I’ve been to numerous barbecue places all over the state and the country, tasted some of the best in Kansas City, Memphis and Texas, but Stephenson’s is No. 1. The barbecue is packed with smoke and flavor, which is what makes it great.
    Really, anything else about this place is a side note. The barbecue is that good.
