This is our fourth trip for an Anniversary dinner and our fifth trip overall. Our first dinner there was before the television show premiered. We started with two appetizers, tempura okra and cornbread with peach butter. The okra was fried whole, which I was not used to, but it was lightly fried and juicy on the inside. The accompanying ranch sauce was flavorful, but not overpowering. While I would have preferred the cornbread hot, it had a nice texture, and the peach butter was tasty, but a little too sweet. Our entrees followed--my wife had the Not Lobster Risotto, while I had a pork chop with peach chutney. The risotto had a playing mix of textures with a pleasant seafood flavor even without the lobster. My pork chop was cooked perfectly, with the sweet heat of the chutney perfectly complementing the tender meat. We finished our meal with two desserts, banana cake with pecan buttercream and orange baklava, which were both excellent. The service was attentive and friendly. We would not hesitate to return again.

TV show makes the place appear larger than it is. We had a wonderful time. Great cocktails and solid Martini. Service was perfect. Food was great overall.

I had the pleasure of eating at Chef & the Farmer this summer and we were all thrilled with the entire experience! I had the pork chop, my father had tile fish, brother had ribeye and my cousin the tomato pie. Of course we had to try the flash fried collards and cornbread. We tried two desserts, but I don't remember the names. Everything from the atmosphere to the service to the gift shop and bathrooms were wonderful! We'll be back next summer and highly recommend Chef and the Farmer.

Second time eating here and it has been amazing both times! The food is incredible and the service is exceptional. Best pork chop I’ve ever had! The staff are so polite and friendly. Highly recommend!

Fantastic! The only thing better than the food and cocktails is the incredible hospitality. Do yourself a favor and just let them pick what you eat and drink--you won't be disappointed. The steak, pork chop, and tilefish were awesome. But the real star, believe it or not, was the vegetarian dish: the "lobster" mushroom risotto. Southern cheese puffs were out of this world. Flash fried collards were totally addicting. And dessert? Just wow. There's something for everyone on the cocktail menu, and every choice we sampled was a delight. Superb!
