Northbrook Family Restaurant

I called in an order of 2 bacon cheeseburger baskets, a corn dog basket and hamburger basket and a chefs salad for me and the grandsons. I waited about 15 minutes before I headed out because they said 20 minutes.
We got there and were told it wasn’t ready.. I paid $47 and we waited another 15 minutes sitting at the drive thru window.
I finally got the order and drove home. We unpacked it and while the order was correct the fries were so salty that the youngest (whose favorite food is French fries) wouldn’t eat them. I tasted them and I don’t know if the put seasoning salt on them or just went way overboard with the salt. The older boys even said they were way too salty.
I hope my review gets to the right person to pay attention to the seasonings. Too much is not better.

My last review wasn’t a great one but I came to find out that a friend of mine just took over ownership. He reached out to me and we talked about my experience. This time when I went back everything was good and fresh. Will definitely be back and thanks to a great owner and friend.

Simply the best local food PERIOD!!. Let’s just put it this way everything there that you’d expect from a restaurant they have it and then some, from the cleanliness of the establishment, to the courteousness of the waitresses, down to the food I mean there’s nothing to complain about it is definitely worth the money and time to give it a try.

I can’t say enough good about this restaurant. If you are looking for “good” home style cooking at a good price….THIS IS THE PLACE!! And you don’t have to go into the big city to get it!! The people that own it seem to be very nice. The wait staff was very attentive Here’s what I have learned after years of traveling….. when you have a restaurant that has no seating room inside and they are constantly on the phone taking orders and the drive thru here is always lined up, this is the place to eat!!!
