Leo's Caffé Italia

*Edit* After posting my initial review and recieving a response from Leo's Caffe Italia I have changed my review to 5 stars. They apologized without hesitation for the errors on my order and offered to rectify the situation. Thats a good restaurant in my book.

While the food was good I was in complete disappointment when I got home and opened up my pizza box to find my large diavola pizza to be about the size of my hand. They also forgot to put the mushrooms on it as well as the olives I ordered on my caprese side. Got charged for it though. Unfortunetely since I live about 25 minutes away, I was not going to drive back down. Definetely not worth the $52 it cost me.

Wonderful sandwiches (the potatoes they serve with them are perfect, garlicky with real cheese), the pizza is to die for. Not your run of the mill restaurant pizza. This is going to dinner at your Italian grandma's house pizza! Superb ingredients, made with skill and love. Wish I could give the pizza ten stars.
The desserts are amazing! Something different every day, I always buy too many and splurge.

I was told to give this place a try by some co-workers. So I pulled in after work on Friday, 6/23/23. Now I’m very picky about my pizza and my coffee. Leo’s makes the best pizza that I’ve had in the entire South East! I was pleasantly surprised. An entire large pizza did not last on my commute home. I ate the whole thing!

If that wasn’t enough, Leo’s could do coffee alone. That was the best cup of Joe that I’ve ever had!

WOW! What a gift this place is to our home community! As an Italian American who lived in Europe & who grew up with elders making fresh, authentic recipes straight from both Florence & Sicily...I have to say this place is legit! What is important to me when reflecting on food spots in my community 1. Are the people good? 2. Are they making REAL food? I would 100% say this place checks the boxes and more. I have tried several things off the menu from fresh homemade authentic gelato to the fantastic pizza & pressed paninis (the bread was the real deal and the fresh mozzarella). I love how they have utilized the space---no stress...you take a seat wherever and you order when you feel ready...nobody rushes you out the door and they are all so incredibly kind...PLUS the prices are on point! The coffee is fantastic and the real deal! Have patience...take your time...sit and talk to people....enjoy the REAL food. We have so many amazing food spots in this community....glad to have Leo's! Don't hesitate to check it out and look out for weekly specials.
