I ordered a BLT and yet there was so much more to the sandwich: it had a fried egg on it and the bread had peppers in it and cheese - it was amazing!! My husband had a meatloaf sandwich that was mouth watering. The French fries were very salty and crisp- perfect.
The restaurant is open, where you'll find friendly, fast service and good food. I was there for lunch with a group and they got through about 16 orders quickly. I had a meatloaf sandwich which was on Texas toast (I think) and it was great. Can't say about the banana pudding, but the gang said it was great (I was last in the door to order!) I will definitely go back to try the catfish sandwich also.
We didn’t stop here expecting to eat, but WOW the food was incredible. Might have been the best from our entire trip. Highly recommend the chicken biscuit with goat cheese and pepper jelly. Incredible. Super friendly folks and a nice spot to hang out. Hope we’re able to make it back again!
This place is an absolute gem! I didn’t expect such a neat little spot while driving through the mountains.
The food is surprisingly amazing at the cafe. It’s obvious to us the ingredients are local or otherwise fresh. Compared to most “road food” stops, I was shocked. I heard the comment “This is the best _______ I’ve ever had..” from other guests dining as well.
We really fell in love with the area so we’ve visited multiple times and order something new every time. Not only does the food exceed my previous “road stop judgement” expectations but usually is even better than most places I have visited in the cities along the way! They really put a lot of intention and love in their food here and it shows.
Also for the general store, it’s been great to be able to pick up some goods that I have often forgotten. (Chapstick, moisturizer, snacks.) Along with many local offerings, which I noticed they have added more since my first visit.
The owner was incredibly nice and helpful. Great place to stop on the motorcycles and take a break on the porch with rocking chairs. Local honey, soaps, art, and so on. The food was amazing and the oatmeal cream pies were on point! The owner actually made them fresh for our group, she went above and beyond to make sure we had some to take home! Stop in and check it out, you wont be disappointed!
