Las Salsas

Close to home (dangerous!_), but easily my favorite area Mexican restaurant here now, after 10 years each in S TX and N NM.
I'm mostly Whole Foods Plant based, so my go-to test of a new restaurant has become the veggie fajitas plates, hold the flour tortillas. These are the best, not over-cooked or heavily oiled, 2 large platters, so I can always count it as a bargain with a full meal there plus a full to-go box for the next day and leave them a generous tip. Comes to less than "fast food" anywhere, with sit-down comfort and not all the plastic trash. The bean dip is my favorite, the salsas are all good, service is snappy but not in your face, half-n-half tea w/ free refills always offered. Great place to meet up w/ friends or family, or just splurge a tiny bit and take myself out for a change.

Great service! Food is delicious! The salsa bar has a ton of fun choices. My tamale was perfect!

Good food and great wait staff. The past few times we have gone, our meat has been cold and our tortillas were drenched in grease. Easily a 5 star if they get oversight in the kitchen!
