New Zealand Cafe

This is one of the first places we went when we moved to the area. The food is soooooooo good! My daughter wants to go here all the time. It is small and there isn't a lot of room. So sometimes you gotta wait for a table for a good bit of time. But it's well worth it. Plus they have a few tables outside. The sushi is awesome! Well worth the price and wait.

Rolls were delicious. Atmosphere was tranquil and small. Place seemed clean. Customer service was great. Only problem was that the rolls weren't rolled tight enough so everyone was sort of struggling to eat their food without it falling apart.

EXCELLENT SUSHI! Priced Right. Great for eat-in or take-out. Plan to wait, depending upon the time you arrive. Small restaurant. Service has always been very good. We've been going here for about 8-10 years. LOVE IT!

Delicious food, but can’t be in a rush for time. For the food - whether it’s the sushi, the sushi boat (actually a wooden boat that the sushi come out on!), or the hibachi, we love to eat from New Zealand Cafe. However, when we call ahead or visit, we plan a buffet time. For example, if we call ahead and are told it’ll be ready in 25 minutes, we usually plan to arrive in 35-40 minutes. So as long as you plan ahead and are in no rush, I highly recommend New Zealand Cafe!

This place is one of the BEST kept secrets in Charlotte. Located in a strip mall area, this tiny restaurant serves up big sushi flavors. I have never been disappointed in the delicious sushi. Although I have not ventured away from my "go-to-meal", I may venture out and try the lo mien next time. The ONLY reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating was because of the service today. The waitress was a little rude and go my order incorrect. Once I received the food, it was delicious. I will return.
