Fran's Filling Station

Let me preface this review by saying I went to Fran's during Charlotte Restaurant Week and so my experience could absolutely be an anomaly. We had a reservation at 8:15pm. We arrived right at 8:15pm and the entire place was PACKED. Tables sat for a lot longer than anticipated, they sat too many walk-ins before the reservations, etc. That didn't bother me in the least - I grabbed a drink at the bar and waited until 9:30pm to get seated. The hostess was really frazzled and I felt terrible for her, but instead of using the booking system online, she was trying to remember who came in first via memory and it was not good... either way, the food was delicious, our server was busy but attentive, and I would like to give them another try! Perhaps next Restaurant Week they will have better luck with their reservations or not accept them at all!

Food was excellent. Service could have been better, but health inspection was in process and large holiday party was happening. All things considered, a very enjoyable experience. Will return.
