Great sushi! Our bartender, Charlotte was amazing! She was very knowledgeable about drinks and food. The chef went out of his way to fulfill our special food requests. Can not wait to return!
I have been here once, my first experience was not great. The ambiance is awesome. I ordered chicken which was a little under cooked. Their shrimp appetizer was really good.
Impeccable service and delicious sushi.
We went for seconds (or maybe it was even thirds or fourths) with the server's recommendation of the hot and heavy roll. Certainly saved best for last.
Definitely on my list of places to come back to when in town again.
After only two visits but much deliberation I've decided that O-Ku is my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. Everything I've eaten here is so fresh and delicious, really interesting flavors and combinations. In addition to that the food is just fun and beautiful to look at. Every new plate that comes out is exciting. Plan to try some of everything so you can taste the cocktails, small plates, sushi rolls and dessert.
First let me say that the food and service was great and I loved the ambiance. It was fantastic. But also, I had to leave because of a major emergency and literally just three down whatever cash I had. It did not cover my bill. The next day, i returned to pay it and everyone was so sweet about it. They did not have to be; after all, i left an unpaid bill. The waitress (Gabby) was very very sweet and even gave me a hug and offered her condolences. I did not get the manager's name, but he was very kind as well and gave me a bottle of wine on the house. They really went above and beyond. I went out to my car and cried because I couldn't believe people could be so kind. O-Ku provided a great meal but they were also amazing people which sorta counts for a whole lot.
