Mac's Speed Shop

I had a taste for BBQ and needless to say, Mac's Speed Shop never disappoints! Order the combination platter with ribs, brisket,sausage and chopped pork, you'll won't go wrong ! They also got some great starters such as Brisket Chile, Fried Pickles,etc. My server(Lolalitta) was outstanding as she was attentive, prompt and charming. I'll definitely return !

Always the best BBQ in NC. The brisket is outstanding. I also love the pork, ribs, smoked wings, etc. They even have great tacos and a mouthwatering brisket chili. Thick cut onion rings are really good.

Great place for awesome brisket. Had the nachos with brisket ... wow. Tender and tasty.
Superb service. The associates were very accommodating, we could tell they valued our business. Great outdoor seating picnic table style with wood firepit.. yep that's how I would roll if I had a restaurant.
Good selection on beverage and lots of meaty menu items.
And they have a Golden Tee golf game....

This place was incredible! Service was excellent, food was amazing! There were so many delicious looking things on the menu that my waitress had to help me out with a recommendation. I'm glad I listened to her, the BBQ Brisket Burger was out of this world. The fries were really good too.

We were in the area and wanted some BBQ. The first place we picked out happened to be closed, so this was our second choice, and boy am I glad that first place was closed!

Pros: Complimentary hush puppies were great, the sweet tea was delicious, I loved the decor of both the inside and outside. It definitely looks like the place to be. I ordered the pulled pork with mac and cheese, and sweet potato fries to share. Everything was delicious. I loved sampling all the available sauces. And clean bathrooms, which is always an important pro.

My one and only con is the service. By no means was it bad service. It just wasn't attentive or above average. We didn't seem to have one specific server, it seemed like 4 different people visited our table, and because of this, my drink was never refilled. However, they seemed pretty busy that day, and they were all very friendly at least.

Overall, I would recommend and definitely want to come back in the future.
