This restaurant and its team always go way above & beyond for its customers. We eat here almost every time we pass through Charlotte and they treat us like regulars even though we are only there occasionally.
This time we sat at the chef's counter and it was an incredible treat. Both Charlie and Leonard in the kitchen spent a lot of time explaining things to us, checking on us, and even providing some complimentary tastes of things (the roasted beets were ridiculously good!). Our server Adi was super nice and attentive. Drinks and dinner were great as usual. There is never a wrong choice here. Special note: we tried the grouper collar, which was billed as a "shareable appetizer" but was so meaty and filling that we could not even finish it. We'd never heard of this cut but it was surprisingly tender and meaty. The chef and a manager came over to ask how we liked it and to compliment us on being adventurous with our selection (perhaps not many people were going for this special). This is what we love about this restaurant. They are always inventive in their use of food, which minimizes food waste and allows customers to try new things. And they genuinely want customer feedback. It is a collaborative food experience in many ways. They continue to keep their food and service standards very high. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

We had an amazing dinner the Saturday after Valentine's Day. We didn't have reservations and were expected to grab something at the bar. However, they had a spot at the kitchen bar and got us right in. Our drinks came out in a minute followed by appetizers, dinner and dessert timed perfectly. The team worked together to ensure we didn't wait for anything but left us alone to enjoy our evening. Also, saw a strong management presence and was checked on multiple times by a manger even though we were tucked in a spot in the back. I can't say enough about the amazing food. Absolutely delicious. Definitely a treat. I highly recommend a visit.

I had lunch at the bar with a friend for my first time here and the bartender was so attentive! He made great wine pairing recommendations and he was super personable and timely. We had the pimento cheese to start and it was amazing! I had the crab cake BLT and I couldn't have been happier. The food, service, ambience, and wine were all fantastic! I will definitely be returning!

This place is fabulous! My girlfriend and I visited here on a Sunday night. Had a hard time deciding what to eat because all the choices sounded great. Asked our waiter for their opinion, and man was he spot on.Food and drinks were out of this world! I have recommended it to any one looking for nice place to eat. Food and drinks are well worth the price.
