Pho An Hoa Restaurant

I've tried other Pho restaurant, but this one is the best in quality and price.

This place is as legit as Pho gets. After the spot on Eastway closed, I had to start my search again. Unfortunately it's a bit further away for me, but it has all the boxes checked. Strip-mall-esque location, servers with broken English, and reasonable prices. The meat is solid, the sides are solid. It's like I'm on the west coast again.

Dive pho shop in one of the most delicious blocks on Central Ave. Best to come on off hours as parking can be challenging. Good solid pho and a nice and spicy green papaya salad, easily the best version in East Charlotte.

Coming from traditional Vietnamese culture, An Hoa is the real deal. The intertwining chit chat, fast-paced service environment, diversity, and last but not least, food, hits home for me. You can tell tons about a Vietnamese restaurant by how they prepare their broths. an immense-full amount of veggies (green onions, onions, cilantro, etc.) no shortcuts. I recommend their pho w/ brisket & rare steak; substitute for egg noodles. Enjoy
