South 21 Family Restaurant

The friendly busy atmosphere. the restaurant had a great health score. Food was delicious. Prices reasonable they also sold served breakfast. Will visit many more times

Food always good, but today something was different, the fish was mostly breading, I haven't been here for a couple of weeks, but it looks like they changed product or supplier. Everything else was great,

Great place for good, quick southern breakfast! Not too fond of the potatoes, but everything else has been great! Based on the menu, they have a hood variety of lunch options too, but I've only had breakfast so far.

The best best best fish you'll ever find!! Onion rings that are out of this world!! Excellent!!! There are several locations of South 21 in Charlotte but I think this location on Brookshire is the best . Just wish they had a drive thru. Always very good.

The location in Matthews I noticed when I go there sometimes instead of getting three whole pieces of fish it looks like they took a whole piece of fish and cut it in half then plate it passing it off as a three piece fish plate. This has been done a few times only at the Matthews location . Not good considering the price...

The other thing I noticed at the Matthews location is sometimes the tarter sauce taste like it's been sitting out and it has a taint taste to it. This has happened on several occasions. It's warm and has a funny taste. I mentioned that to them and the girl at the counter was real nice about it. She said she'd reach in the back of the cooler and get me some that were cold. Those she gave me were like the way they should taste.

Other than that they still are the best place for fish. Just wish they had other locations like Belmont !
