Mac's Speed Shop

I came in for a late lunch on a weekday. The server was great. She was friendly and always kept my cup full. The food was a bit on a let down though. The fries were fine, but the burger was kind of bland. I had the pimento cheese burger. The hush puppies were really good though.

I really like this place. Good food and many different good beers. Good atmosphere as well. I always have the beer can chicken and it never disappoints. All of their sides are great!

This place is alright. The service is good, the food left a little to be desired, and it's price wasn't great either. There's nothing inherently wrong with this place but they don't do anything that other burger places close-by do better.

EDIT: I've actually been to Mac's a few more times and it's now become one of my most frequent burger destinations in Cornelius. If you're a fan of spicy burgers their Spark Plug is a great choice!

Heading to Florida, we stopped on the way down and stayed in Lake Norman and decided to go to Mac's. There BBQ and food was outstanding. The service was excellent. There are lots of TV's to catch any sporting event. Good for all ages. I would highly recommend this place.

Decent service. Nice crowd. Ordered a couple burgers medium and one well done. Both came with a blackened crust and burnt like no food I have eaten previously. Possibly not the norm, but made us weary of coming back. They did a good job of taking care of us though.
