I was so excited when I first saw an Arby's being built across the street from me. I hate that Berewick is full of chains, but at least this one is my favorite fast food restaurant.
They sent us a coupon for a free sandwich, so of course we went and got way more than just a sandwich. We had plenty of coupons, so we paid $13 for our meal of 4 sandwiches and 2 fries.
We got the new 5 meat stack, a half pound beef and cheddar, a Reuben, a classic roast beef, and two small fries. In addition to our coupons, they have a happy hour that makes a small fry (and other items) $1 until 5pm.
Whenever I try new things, I still think a regular roast beef with a side of curly fries is the best thing to get (add horsey sauce if course). The 5 meat stack was pretty good. The Reuben wasn't bad, but didn't feel like what I come to Arby's for. The beef and cheddar is close enough to a regular roast beef that it's my next favorite. Unfortunately the fries were not very warm, but I guess that's fast food for you.
The service was nice here. We made our order really complicated with all of the coupons and changing our mind and they were accommodating. I think they're still training staff, but that's not an issue with me.
Overall, you know what Arby's is. I thought this one was better than some as far as the non-food areas go.
This new Arby's is definitely taking a step up... You can watch them make your meal just like subway.... so you are certain it's fresh... 5 different sauces are dispensed from the condiment bar. Two TVs with the game on and high tables made it a pleasant dining experience. So far the staff seems to care about customer service. Let's see if this is the case 6 months from now.
