This restaurant was a fun experience! Me and my boyfriend are from Athens, Alabama. This place was so delicious we wish we had one back home. The What it is pasta was fantastic. If we ever come back to Charlotte we will definitely eat here again!

If you are looking for a fine dining experience and elaborate ambience transporting you back in time.. McNinch House sets the benchmark. We were there to celebrate a birthday and we had the cognac room to ourselves. The meals served in finest silverware and ornate cutlery. Every dish was well presented with wines to pair and service to match. An evening could not have been spent better.....

We ordered for pickup (cause Rona) and I drove over. Street parking but it wasn't bad. I popped in but it wasn't ready yet as I'd *just* put in the order. So they said they'd bring it out to the car. Awesome!! Burgers were amazing and the cajun fries were a bit floppy by the time we got them home, but still just too good to care. We will definitely be giving them more of our money. Pro tip: get the bacon.

This place is a must-go. It's a gem of the Fourth Ward. The mushroom stroganoff is very popular here, one of my favorites, and hits spot. The London broil sandwich is another fantastic choice (I recommend fully loaded). The appetizers are all great too. You really can't go wrong here. There's a great beer selection. Really nice vibe inside too. Can't wait for real life to resume so we can go back to one of our neighborhood favorites.

We’ve been going to Al Mike’s for years, and had the opportunity to head over there last night. It had been several months since we’ve eaten out in Charlotte, and we were welcomed with open arms!

First of all, their food is outstanding! Lunch is good, but the pastas on the dinner menu are the best. Big portions, so we always have leftovers — which I promise are even better the next day!

Secondly, but just as important, is the atmosphere. Most of the staff have been working there for years. Everyone is friendly and smiling (at least with their eyes now that we’re all wearing masks). The ambience is cozy, warm, and has a neighborhood feel. It can definitely also be romantic, if that’s what you’re going for.

The holiday decor this time of year makes for a festive evening out.

Thank you to Steve and the gang for continuing to provide a delicious and much-loved go-to for eating (or ordering) out! We appreciate you all so much!
