Geno D's Pizza

BEST pizza that I have had in Charlotte (or in NC for that matter)! We read about them and decided to take a field trip to Uptown to check them out for ourselves. They completely lived up to the hype. Gena and Geno are amicable and gracious hosts and work hard to ensure that all of their guests' needs are met. The fresh veggies from the Farmer's Market make the veggie pie a must, but the Grandma and the Pepperoni were just as outstanding. The crust was light and airy and crispy yet still had a slight chew (in a good way). The subtle notes of garlic and olive oil on the Grandma were also perfect. I know I am gushing, but this place was that good! Check them out as soon as possible! Your tummy will thank you. (P.S. 90 minutes of free parking is validated for the garage right next door and they have indoor seating and nice outdoor seating if you are still distancing and prefer the fresh air.)

Geno D’s Pizza is SO good. I got sausage and pepperoni. It was my first time having Jersey style and I loved it :) The story behind the joint was so cool, I loved how homey Gina, one of the owners, made the place feel by telling me all about the story and chatting with us while she made our Pizza. I definitely want to go back and eat it there, Gina described eating there as if you’re eating in her home and I thought that was so sweet.

This was literally the best experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Geno and Gina are the kindest and most dedicated people I’ve ever met who really care about their craft. They made me feel so welcome and valued. Not only will I be coming back but I will be recommending this place to anyone who is in an hour radius. If you love incredible pizza that’s been perfected over 35 years with the best service of your life come here.
P.s. when i got some pizza sauce on my shirt they brought me a dish rag and some dawn. You really can’t have kinder people who care more about what they do!

There are a lot of pizzas in CLT that I find to be 5 stars... but this pizza right here makes me want to go back and take a star off those reviews. This pizza is spectacular. Got to talk to Geno and clear up why his name was on my favorite pizza from Pure. Every bite of his pizza is perfected perfection. 6/5 stars. Can't wait to throw more of my money at his pizza.

Super friendly dad and daughter team. They both work here and are really engaging with their customers. The pizza is well made, the crust light and airy but also crunchy. It's the thin style pizza, with a good amount of sauce without being soggy. The toppings are really good and fresh. Their garlic knots are yummy with fresh garlic and great tasting olive oil. Definitely coming here all the time.
