The rating on this one is a bit hard for me because the food and desserts were on different levels.
My husband and I shared:
- The Hot Dip
- Original Glaze and Mixed Berry Milkbread Donuts
- Milkbread Cinny Roll
The chicken sandwich was one of the smallest chicken sandwiches I've ever been served. It was good, but nothing to write home about in my opinion.
The star of the show here is definitely the milk bread based desserts. I came for the donuts, which were delicious. The original was good, but the mixed berry was definitely my preference. The real MVP was the Milkbread Cinny Roll. It's hands down one of the best I've ever had. Don't skip it.
I do wish there was more shaded outdoor seating. Baking in the sun while we ate wasn't my favorite.
The whole-ish salad was pretty good. I liked the crunch. The hot dipped nuggets were tasty but soggy. I will try them without the sauce next time.
The food was fast, especially for the quality- our wait was maybe 10 minutes. Everything tasted great! We loved our bowls, and the grilled chicken was phenomenal. Definitely recommend if you want to stop at an outdoor restaurant with both healthy and hearty options!
After attending the Charlotte donut festival a few weeks ago, I could not stop thinking about Milkbread donuts. So, I had to roll up for some original glazed donuts. Their donuts are just right in taste and a great balance. They do have a selection of other items, but this time, it was just about the donuts for me. I did come to pay with cash, so I was not happy in using my bank card. Also, I did not like the gratitude automatic highlight at 20% to get my items from a counter. I did tip 18%, maybe it's going to bakery. I guess if I did not bring my bank card, I would have stood in line for no reason.
