I decided to try this place since I was craving fried chicken. OMG I was blown away!! So good! And the Mac and Cheese is the best I’ve ever had from a restaurant!!! The staff was extremely nice. The girl that filled my order, I think was Kayasia, she was amazing and so friendly, full of smiles. I will be back for more, lots more.
Give this homemade-kitchen a try, you won’t regret it: If you are looking for that food your ma and paw made growing up…. If you’re looking for that Mississippi-melt-you-to-your-toes southern comfort, Tennessee-take-you-two-plates-to-go-from-the-reunion, Louisiana-noon-to-night-gathering, Georgia-pass-out-heaven-food, not-a-seasoning-missing, full-flavor having food: look no further unless you’re going to make it yourself. Absolutely hospitable, over the top, happy to help you, so incredible staff! Extremely wide range of wonderful sides and entrees. There’s so much to name: Grilled oven chicken, Jerk chicken, Sweet potatoes, Cabbage, Collard Greens, Green Beans, probably one of the best mac n cheeses you’ll ever have, like-your-momma-made-it-Peach-Cobbler, soft n fluffy moist cornbread muffins and so so so much more. It’s not too loud in there because everyone is enjoying their food. They even do samples in case you’re not sure. I will add pictures later I already ate my food ;).
The service from their staff was outstanding!!!! They greeted us from the door. They talked about the food to help us with decisions and made sure they checked on us while we were seated at the tables. The food was delicious. Coming from north, I would recommend this place for people to come and get the experience.
Came here for a late lunch. Sick of fast food. I got curry chicken, fried tilapia, curry rice with macaroni and cheese. The plate came with corn bread. The Mac n cheese was good, lacked seasoning but it wasn’t bad. The rice was tasty. The curry chicken was ok but lots of bones. The fish was ok I guess. For the $24 price tag on one plate of food though I was expecting bigger portions. I’ll try this place out again
Nana's is probably one of the best soul food restaurants on this side of town. I got the fried fish and it was cooked perfectly. The Mac and cheese was awesome and so was the rice.
