As a Filipino myself and as someone who cooks food and do small catering, this is below average. We mainly got this food to try and because of curiosity to see how they taste. Overall, the taste is there; HOWEVER, there is too much fat and not enough of the actual entree meat. As you can see from the photos, the fat is floating and there’s barely any meat for the price. We got the 2 entree combo meal ($15.99) which included rice, 2 entree of your choice - we picked Pork Sisig (a $1 up charge which they don’t tell you) and Bicol express, and a side of Dinuguan ($6). They give you half a scoop of the entree which compared to other food stalls in there was very small portion wise for the combo meal. BBQ stick is $5 for one, for one stick. I want to recommend this place as they have potential but first they need to make changes by not serving a very oily/greasy Filipino dishes and giving the full scoop of entree/meat the customers pay for. If I was to serve this I would scoop out the excess fat before putting it out for people to look at and order.

International Food Hall...Fast Food" Filipino fare. I was somewhat disappointed.and we drove from Mint Hill..We had the Adobe chicken, a couple of skewers, Lumpia and pansit
Lumpia was very flat in shape. I have never had "flat" Lumpia . Barely any filling. 5.00 for 2 pieces. Pansit was somewhat greasy...no cabbage..a few green beans. My husband liked the Adobe chicken. I will say the customer service was great. Food was so so ....especially for the price. Not sure that I would try again...please do better...we need GOOD Filipino food in Charlotte

Where to begin? I was a bit skeptical when i heard about it from friends who went to Alley 51 based off instagram. Don’t dismiss it for its small stall…if you know Asian food, the good ones are from the streets, probably globally. We got a couple of things - rice with 2 sides combo: Lechon kawali & Adobo …both excellent! ; Palabok…sensational despite me being more used to the thinner noodles; Halo-Halo…do i have to say what relief it provided against this hot/humid weather? The best part was a surprise off menu drink…i highly recommend putting this on the menu at least for the summer, it’s a Filipino boba for the uninitiated. Thank you so much, it reminded me of the kind souls Filipinos are known for and flew me back to Manila for a moment. The food had a no ‘gimmick’ authentic taste. The only thing that threw me off was, there was a small ‘salsa’. The Lechon was crisp devoid of the ‘oil’ which tends to bring that oily after taste and the adobo chicken was tender and juicy. Did i mention Halo-Halo? My only wish was a bigger scoop of Ube ice cream and huge leche flan portion …who wouldn’t? Then you head to the Asian grocery store next door, you don’t know how much it will save you in your grocery bills when your belly is happy. We recommended the store to a Filipino family at the grocery store and minutes later, they were found chomping on the halo-halo. Do i have to say more when the Filipinos are enjoying this place?

Their food is pretty good but quite pricey for what you get and comparing to Filipino takeout restaurants in the state.
The amount of food they give you is not consistent. I have ordered 1 item 3 different times and each time the amount of protein varies. 1st time the amount of protein is good then the next time it’s less the 3rd time was only half of the original one I ordered. You get about a cup of rice and their side of veggie is boiled/ microwaved frozen peas and corn. Veggies seem to be an odd pairing.
They have ‘specials’ that change daily on a board.that stands on their counter. So if you want to know you what it is for the day, you will have to go there and see. They claim that they post it daily on social media but it is inconsistent.
Hopefully they will become more consistent in time
