I brought my family here because everyone was talking about how good this place was. They did not disappoint. Everything was hot and fresh. The food had soo much flavor. The red velvet waffle, lobster mac & cheese, THE FISH OMG THE FISH. THE WINGS WAS JUST RIGHT. The shrimp and grits, the drinks and we had the strawberry banana pudding soo good. The best food in charlotte.

My fiancée and I went here today spontaneously and it was absolutely amazing! The lady who took our order (I hate I can’t remember her name) was so nice and helpful with suggestions on what to order since it was our first time eating here. We had the pleasure of trying the lobster mac and cheese with fried shrimp and the red velvet waffle. To drink we had the Cactus Pear lemonade and it was very good. Everything was cooked to order hot and fresh. The portion sizes were good for the price. If you haven’t tried it out please do! We can’t wait to go back!

This is a lunch review. With almost no line, their cook time is 25+ minutes for things like fish. So with travel there and back, this is not a place you can go for a lunch break. Additionally, their menu is really catered to take-out plates, with dinner portions and dinner prices. If you're splitting a plate for lunch I think this could work, but it would be really great for them to offer lunch options at reduced prices (half waffle, fish sandwich, etc.). Also their only drink options (besides water) is $5, which I again find a high price for lunch. I think some work is also needed for dinner, as these prices can easily net you food at a proper restaurant with service. I think you can make an argument that this food is better tasting/more fresh, and worth paying a premium for. But that's a tall argument to make with food court ambiance and no alcohol/wine. Maybe a dine-in/lunch price (and portions) can be added if you still want the 'full plate' options for those with big plate expectations for take-away? Food is delicious.

First off, I search out not only BOBs but quality local small businesses to patronize. I've lived in the Steele Creek area since 2015 and our food and Restaurant choices out here have been extremely lacking. They mostly primarily consisted of fast food (which I do consume) or pizza, or pasta style, or run of the mill chains. To have a restaurant specialized by a Chef, like Chef Andarrio is absolutely refreshing and long overdue!

I came for the first time, today. I was greeted like family from the warm and smile filled staff! I was offered food choice recommendations. And my order was filled in a timely fashion. The price point was solid, and worthy of repeat business (which is a huge plus in CLT where far too many places are overpriced for what they provide).

I'll amend this review after I start eating, and also provide some pictures.

    Food quality amendment:

I just finished my meal. I had fish and grits, OMG! This was absolutely delicious. Now the Mambo cauliflower wings caught me by surprise and blew me away! I was not expecting that incredible flavor and pop. Well done!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
