We've had some good dining experiences here. I do recommend that you request your pasta be cooked Al Dente if that is your preference, they may not otherwise. It is very clearly stated that they don't accept credit cards. Vito's is old school, that's part of the appeal, it's almost like a dining experience from another time.
Oh man. I loved this place. Though I should say I'm not a picky eater. I thought this place rocked. I hate how lots of people say " I'm Italian", "I'm a Yankee I know Italian food". I am a Yankee, I am not Italian, that said I thought the food was very good. The desert I had was so good. It wad called profiteroles. GO relax. If you went one time, and didn't like it, take that stick out of your butt and try it again. Everyone has off days.
Great food and excellent, attentive service. Cool family run business vibe with Vito walking around checking on the guests. Bring cash though! No CCs.
I’ve been coming to Vito’s since I was a child. It’s always been a great family atmosphere with authentic Italian cuisine. The food is excellent and my favorite menu items are the garlic rolls, the homemade creamy Italian dressing salad, and the castle pizza. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.
I am a military and commercial international pilot and I have been really blessed to experience all kinds of cuisines worldwide. Vito's Ristorante in the little sleepy town of southern pines is one of the best. First the food is fantastic and second the owner Vito is the real deal. He and his family that run and work in the restaurant make you feel like family. Who could ask for anything more. Great food at a reasonable price and you walk out with more family (the good kind) than you walked in with.
