In a time where everyone seems to be cutting back and charging more, it's so nice to experience a place that is not doing that, in fact they are doing the exact opposite! After missing this place for a few months now, I finally made an attempt to order my all time favorite dish, Shrimp Pad Thai! Holy Cow Batman, this was off the chain delicious! Everyone thinks they can make Pad Thai, but only a few succeed and they do and then some. All the ingredients were fresh and every attention to detail was there, not just putting hot sauce on some noodles, (like most places), I was in heaven with each and every bit down to the crumbs at the end. I used my out of this world Spring Roll to soak up any remaining juices left at the bottom of the bowl. My wife got the Chicken Pad Thai and she was just as impressed! I would have gotten the Basil Fresh Rolls, but after using the rice paper for my horror movie, "Do No Harm," she refuses to eat anything using rice paper. (That's another story!) To get something that we could both eat and enjoy I opted for the Spring Rolls and once again they did not disappoint! The rolls themselves were delicious, but the sauce was in a class all by itself's. It was both hot and sweet, the perfect combo, but wait there is more! As I waited for my To-Go order I was offered some complimentary Egg Drop Soup and it was soooo good! If that was not enough, she offered to give me more to take home to my wife! Are you kidding me? These folks know how to treat people and give you so much bang for your buck! All I've been thinking about today is going back to try something else! It's not often I find a place that I think about the next day after eating there, this is so great, because they are so close to where I live and not having much Vegan options in Wilmington for me, this is a place made just for me! I can't wait to try all their many options on the menu. As always I end my reviews with "what would I play for these folks?" Well, my entire catalog! They had me at Kapow Thai when I walked into the door. I would like to recommend a favorite of mine that I could hear playing over the speakers while I might dine inside, it's from my album, "When Words Aren't Enough," Take the Time. I think that song captures the vibe of the wonderful place that I will not call my favorite place in Wilmington! Please do yourself a favor and go there soon!

Just a “meh” experience. Food was spicy but otherwise didn’t have a lot of flavor (we tried both the pad Thai and drunken noodles). Ratio of chicken to noodles was off in the pad Thai - but if you like a ton of chicken, that’s great for you. Plenty of fresh, well-cooked veggies and good portions, though. The restaurant was busy and our to-go order took longer than expected.

Okay, so I’ve eaten at Kapow at least a half dozen times (dine in & takeout) since they’ve open. I’ve tried something different every time I’ve gone and I’ve never been disappointed! But there are two dishes that have really touched my soul! Their Pad See-Ew & Kuay Tiew Rua (Thai Boat Noodles)! The Pad See-Ew are noodles w/ egg, broccoli, and carrots in a sweet dark soy sauce and it just reminds me of that feeling you got as a kid when you went in on a really good chicken pot pie. It’s a solid comfort food! Their Kuay Tiew Rua (Thai Boat Noodles) is the star of the menu for me simply because of the herbal broth! It’s rich in flavor and aroma. Forget chicken noodle soup, this is what I want if I’m under the weather or postpartum. Neither dish is spicy so it can be enjoyed by everyone (they will provide the table with a variety of spices though for everyone’s liking). And the prices for the amount of food you get is really good! I often have enough leftover for lunch the next day. Already looking forward to my next visit to continue making my way through the rest of the menu!

Kapow Thai Street Food was not short of an amazing restaurant we found randomly on Google. The service from start to end was above exceptional. The waitress/host constantly made sure we had everything we needed. The cost was reasonably and actually pretty cheap for Thai food compared to where I'm coming from. The food was absolutely delightful, full of flavor and fulfilling. If you're near Kapow and in the mood for Thai food. I 100% recommend this place

This place is fantastic! The staff is super friendly and the place is new and clean. The Beef Jerky is legit, crispy and flavorful. The gyazo were great but our entrees were the stars of the show. Really generous portion sizes (you will need take out boxes) and the flavors are authentic and elevated. I suggest the Prik Khing chicken (the curry paste is an explosion of flavor.) Not shown but of course we got a Thai iced tea and it was also amazing. Will be regulars for sure!
