Steam Restaurant and Bar

In town 2 nights for business. My choice for dinner both nights was at the Steam Restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Very Very good. They truly have a staff that know what they are doing in the kitchen. Service was friendly and attentive. My selections for dinner was the Carolina Cobb Salad (Amazing) and Crab and Corn Chowder the 1st night. I had the Crab Cake the second night. Both meals as stated previously well prepared and full of flavor. Excellent choice if you prefer not to venture out downtown for dinner. Amazing view of the Cape Fear River at sunset as well

Good food and good service. I had the Steamy snoods with Shrimp and my mom had the Steak Frites, temperature was perfect. The peach pie? Incredible. Service was timed just right and friendly. Even as a local the view was beautiful.

My Son and daughter chose the Steam Restaurant to celebrate my 52nd birthday....Wonderful choice!!!
The crab cakes was amazing!!! The only thing that I did not like was the service we received from our waiter (Tanner a 1 year associate) He acted as though our table didn’t exist. We had to flag him down every time we needed something(even refills) The other servers was very courteous and helpful.. Management was super awesome and eager to make our dining experience enjoyable!
I will visit the Steam Restaurant again, but I WILL NOT allow a waiter like Tanner to assist my family and I ever again!!!!

Had lunch there. Very tasty and good sized portions. Service was quick. Not really expensive. Home made potato chips are excellent. Wonderful view of river.
