El Tequila

Empty restaurant but really good food. I had the carnitas dinner and it was great, minus the fact that I ordered flour tortillas as opposed to corn tortillas. Also the price of my meal was the cheapest I've paid so far in North Carolina and I've been going out every weekend for like a month.

I came here with my family and though my waiter was amazing, it took us to say something for anyone to know we were even their and THEY were the ones who sat us down. The waiter and the good food made up for it but just a note that they may forget youre even sitting there.

Saturday at 6pm. Restaurant had customers but was not super busy. Ordered a regular Margarita which was nice. Our waiter was young but personable and gave us excellent service. I had enchiladas combo plate, husband had big chicken burrito. Food was delivered quickly and tasted delicious. Salsa and Chips were comparable to other restaurants. Overall a pleasant dinner at a good price.

So enjoyed the food. Have not eaten here since the New Bern location closed. Will definitely stop the next time my husband and I go to Jacksonville. Would have given a five star rating if health rating was higher.

Always served promptly and the food is good. They have $1 cheese dip on a certain day of the week, I don’t currently remember what day. Servers are always friendly, will definitely be back in the future for lunch or a dinner date.
