Chimney Indian Kitchen + Bar

We had take out from here a few days ago and it was delicious! The host made sure we had plates and cutlery so we could eat outside. It was quick and the food is all scratch made as you can see from the whole spices (rather than a premade mix) in the curry.

Love all of the dishes at Chimney. Excellent service. Quality food and great bar. I enjoyed the lobster dish and shrimp. My husband loves the lamb chops and even the vegetarian dishes are DELICIOUS!!!! I give them five stars!!!! Highly Recommended. A great date night restaurant

Just Wow! Stellar restaurant right in the best location of Franklin street, home to UNC Chapel Hill. The ambiance of the restaurant is welcoming and elegant. For the first course they bring you an almost tortilla-like chip with two dipping sauces, perfect while you converse with your guests upon waiting for your entree. Ever had Indian style wings? The season-mix their wings are tossed in is AMAZING. Totally different from any restaurant I’ve been to. Their crispy fried veggie or chicken samosas are something I had trouble sharing. With dishes that suit all dietary needs, you’ve got a wide selection of mouth-watering dinner options here. This is the perfect spot to bring friends for a night on the town. Needless to say the service here only compliments your experience. I will definitely be coming again!

Delicious food and good ambiance. Had lamb korma and banana leaf fish, recommended by owner. Both very tasty. Didn’t have liquor license when we went - should have it by now - so no clue if their bar will match their food. Overall, very nice and welcoming. Oh and owner likes Google Voice made reservations. Works well for him, so try it here.
