Wonderful little gluten free bakery. The owner makes all sorts of baked desserts from chocolate chip cookies that are as big as your hand to millionare bars that are so rich and decadant. There is also has faccacia bread that, if you time it right, you can purchase fresh. Of course there are pizzelles. These are made in a variety of different flavors and some are prepared with a creamy filling between two pizzelles. They are so good. Highly recommend!
Great find in Chapel Hill, delicious baked treats and you don't have to be GF to love them- although it's a nice find for those limited to frozen sweets in the grocery stores. Time it right you can enjoy fresh, hot focaccia bread!
Kelly is an amazing and talented baker. My daughter has celiac and has always wanted an ice cream cake - which are difficult to come by as gluten free. She made a beautiful and delicious custom cake for her birthday. Her focaccia bread is so tasty, I questioned if it was really gluten free! Pizzelle bakery is a gem in our town. You can stop by when the market is open for her baked goods or order custom desserts and breads. I highly recommend!
Great food, great coffee and friendly staff. They’re always ready to answer questions and accommodate your food allergy. The outdoor seating is great.
I was told specifically to come here as a celiac colleague of mine knows the struggle of living without delicious baked good. Needless to say I was very excited to come check it out and was not disappointed. The pizelle’s (I got the marshmallow sandwich) were AMAZING and for the love of god don’t miss out on the focaccia! It’s all I can think about and I just finished eating TWO pieces. I also sampled the citrus olive oil cake and cherry pound cake both of which were so delicate and delicious. I can’t wait to go back!! (Probably tomorrow...)
