Big Bob's City Grill

Bob's food is always great. I just wish they would sell tea, lemonade and punch by the gallon.

Big Bob’s is a great little joint in Hillsboro with hot, delicious food and huge portions!

It may look like a dive from the outside and it is small on the inside but they deliver on their home cooked meals at good prices. We ordered the pork barbecue plate with Mac and cheese and slaw; the whiting fried fish with fries and slaw. There were 4 pieces of fish! It was all so good, we ate on it for two days.

We will definitely try their other menu items. We love Big Bob’s!! ❤️❤️❤️

Service was great. Always stop in for soul food when I am I that area.

Stopped in at Bob's City Grill today after hearing more and more good things about it via random folks and forums. I honestly didn't even know it existed until a few months ago, but I think it has been there awhile. Well I must say, it did not disappoint. The burger was ENORMOUS and cooked just right. Plenty of toppings in the form of tomatoes, onions, pickles and two massive slabs of bacon. See the picture for reference on size of the patty and bacon. The best part was that it was not one of those weak skinny patties that so many places flatten out to make large, This thing had some heft to it. So much so, that when I received my to go bag from the counter, I immediately noticed what seemed to be an unusually heavy bag for a single burger and fries. My first thought was "if this is all food, I am gonna be in some serious pain later if I eat all of it". I have to say, it was all food for sure, and I made a what I believe to be a valiant effort to finish it, but my dog is currently thanking the cooks over at Bob's for their generous burger and french fry servings. Also, the fries are delicious. Just the right crinkle style and not too firm nor soft with a little seasoning that tasted like old bay or similar.
Taking off one star because there was a small hint of fried fish taste on the fries, so I'm assuming someone cooked in the wrong fryer or they have a dual use fryer for fish and fries. Overall, very good stuff, and it should easily be 4.75 stars, but I do not have that option.
Go to Bob's! Don't let the exterior turn you away. It is absolutely worth it.

First timer. I ordered a cheeseburger combo an i could not eat it all. They give you healthy portions of foods that is well worth the money!! I will be back!! Compliments to the cook that big a** burger was on point!!
