Hoppin' Johnz

This was a small restaurant recommended to us by our bed and breakfast, a lovely surprise, food was great, service excellent and a very nice place to eat. It is a long restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. There is also a bar and at the back a very cosy atmosphere with booths. Excellent place to go if you're visiting Elizabeth City.

Staff was friendly and expeditious. The food was wonderful. Bartender made some fantastic drinks ????

Another hidden gem in downtown Elizabeth City. Location alone makes it great. Having cold beer and good food is more to add to it's charm. Super chill vibe and great gumbo and shrimp & grits. I'd eat more if my stomach was bigger. I'd say must stop for anyone driving through this cozy town.

Food done right! Something for everyone on the menu. Reasonably priced & tasty too. Great outdoor seating atmosphere and trendy interior.

By far the most enjoyable place to have an amazing meal in our area. Jim has done an amazing job with the restaurant and has put together a menu that is second to none. I won't recommend any one dish on the menu, I'll recommend them all...everything is that good. Megan runs the staff and the service is always fantastic. This place is just the right mix of casual and classy...jeans or a three-piece, you won't feel out off place and you'll be treated like a regular on your first visit.
