My family ate here for lunch today. This restaurant is visually appealing, although the oversized TV screen playing anime seems a bit much. A lunch menu is needed. To pay $38/person at lunchtime is a little crazy. Additionally, the children's menu is only up to 11 years old and this is the only place I've ever eaten where they actually enforce the age restrictions. So my 12 year old who ate like a bird, was charged full price for her BBQ. We were not informed about the scissors on our table and what they were for, in fact I did not see them until my husband got up to ask for a knife to cut his large pieces of meat and vegetables. The manager told him we were supposed to cut everything first with the scissors. A heads up on that would have been nice. I had a hot pot full of giant pieces of meat, vegetables & noodles that I ended up transferring to a plate and not being able to eat as a soup because I could not get them on the spoon in the bowl. We all ended up needing a knife in the end. I had the spicy chicken and it was tasty. Overall, it was a neat experience but more guidance is needed for first timers. They kept asking if we had any questions but frankly we didn't know what to ask and in hindsight we had lots of questions! We know better what to do next time, but I can't say this is the place I would go back to for another Korean BBQ experience. Our waitress was nice and helpful with prepping the grill and hot pot but beyond that she was too busy. The manager was extremely kind and welcoming.
The atmosphere was so warming, clean, and good vibes. The service was phenomenal! Our server was very helpful as this was my first time in this type of restaurant. The manager Michael was nothing short of amazing. He even did a little dance with us while we were enjoying the music playing. The food was fresh and delicious. Will definitely be returning to burnin 99. 10/10 definitely recommend!!!
I've been to this location 2 times, and both times have been absolutely fantastic. The food is fresh, and the broth selections are delicious (i recommend the Tom Yum if you want a little spice but not too much spice), and the atmosphere is so welcoming. The GM, Micheal, is always so welcoming and wonderful to talk to. He goes above and beyond to ensure your experience is memorable. The servers are friendly and make you feel right at home as soon as you are seated. This restaurant is by far one of my absolute favorites and will be returning in the near future!!
The food was great! We went on a Saturday night and waited about 20 min. The general manager is really nice. I personally enjoyed the hot pot with the original broth. The grill was cool. It was a good experience to cook the meat exactly how you want. There are so many options to vegetables, meat, noodles endless! I will definitely be back.
We are blessed to have this restaurant in Greenville. We tried the BBQ, the food was delicious, they have a big selection of meats and flavors. The quality of the cuts is high.
Service was top notch. Michael (the manager) was incredibly professional and our server Logan was very helpful and well mannered. We will certainly come back! Also ECU students and faculty get 15% off.
