Went here and there were four in our party. BBQ was really really good and brisket was a little dry. Sauce selection was excellent. One person said slaw was a bit tasteless. Shrimp was terrific, seasoned well and came with a dipping sauce too. All other sides were top notch...collards, Mac and cheese, and corn casserole (cornbread and corn casserole may be better name). Cornbread was sweet and tasty too. Order at counter...great service. We sat outside and an employee checked on us twice to see if we needed everything. Decor top notch. Also had fountain drinks and sweet tea, unsweet tea, and lemonade. Big fan of the ice chest of sodas.
Overall we enjoyed our experience here. The cashier Sam who helped us was phenomenal explaining our options and making recommendations, which made our first experience that much easier. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We dined in with a 2 meat sampler of BBQ Pork and Lean Brisket with fries, and a Wet Brisket Dinner with Collard Greens and Baked Beans. Ordered a take home tray of the 1/2 Chicken Yard Bird with Mac n Cheese. They are a bit pricey, but we had enough leftovers to make a second meal, you DEFINITELY get your monies worth at this establishment! I enjoyed trying out all the sauces to see which was my favorite (Tupelo Honey Heat) My only downfall was the Turkey was unavailable, this was due to a supply issue however, and couldn't be helped, hopefully it'll return in the future. We will visit this restaurant again. Great people and Great food!
Food was delicious. Cornbread was not dry. Mac n cheese tasted homemade. The sauces offered was also good. I mixed different sauces together for the flavor I wanted. Overall I would definitely go back.
Remarkably clean and precise in their presentation and environment.
Chicken and Turkey waw succulent. Brisket was tasty but dry (I think you can order it moist though). Pork was good. Cornbread was good. Fries were very good.
Sauce selection was good.
I was there for opening day, the event and food were great. I ordered a brisket sandwich, wet, with fries and tea. The meat was melt in your mouth good. Supporting veterans and their families, have never tasted so good!!
